The week in tweets for this past week from The Smiling Assassin
- I feel like a lapsed football fan as it is but that Goal Of The Season list isn't helping. Don't remember any of them…. #
- Still, I have my new LFC shirt on order and next season we'll have learnt (hopefully) from the (many) mistakes we made this season. #
- My early predictions for next season are that Kenny & Luis will stay be there but both will have more support than they do currently. #
- Luis will have another winger and possibly another striker playing alongside him… #
- And I can see Kenny being made to sort out the backroom staff by FSG. Things clearly not working on that front (to say the least) #
- And just to repeat myself, I can see Kenny being given another season. Certainly no more than that though. #
- Another cup win next season wont save Kenny next season. Serious challenge for a top 4 place, at least, will be key aim. #
- Please don't mention or retweet Joey Barton, you'll only encourage him #dontfeedthetroll #
- Such a shame I no longer work with my Utd supporting "friend" at work. I'd love to have wound him up something rotten. #
- Particularly given just how much he loves dishing it out, and how quickly and easily he "takes the bait" too. #
- As for the whole Suarez MOTD GOTS snub, when was that award last relevant.?We all know how good the goal was, that's all that matters. #
- Thinking of taking an extended break from here after the CL final on Saturday, feel I need it. Need to build up my enthusiasm for football. #
- Particularly as I have no interest in the Euros whatsoever. #
- @Andrew_Heaton said similar myself last night, can see him & FSG changing the back room staff over the Summer. #
- Why do I get the impression that people are being overly harsh of FSG as a way of compensating for letting H&G get away with so much. #
- We got burned by H&G, no question, but don't understand reasoning for attacking FSG over it. They can't solve EVERYTHING in 18 months. #
- A couple of weeks ago FSG had to write off a £50m sized turd from the accounts that H&G left. And that wasn't a reference to a former #9 BTW #
- I'd rather hear nothing on a stadium and let them get it right than hear "shovels in the ground in 60 days" and then do nothing. #
- I can exclusively reveal for the first time that next season, #LFC will definitely have a manager. #
- I can also exclusively reveal that next season, the #LFC manager will pick 11 players to start every game. #
- And for those asking, I'm sorry but I can't reveal my sources. #
- Personally, an FSG statement does more harm than good. If nothing else, fuels fire of the ITKers who pretend they know what's happening. #
- Say nothing and it just makes them look stupid, which always works for me. #
- Oh, and FSG don't owe us a statement on the issue. It's none of our business. #
- @MmedeBeauvoir BUT I'M LFC'S BIGGEST FAN!!!11!!!!1 I'M ENTITLED TO KNOW EVERYTHING!!!!11!!111!1!11!!! #narcissitictwonks #
- I saw earlier that John Aldridge said #LFC need to sign a winger & a striker. Where I've heard that idea before…… #
- Removing Kenny now does more harm than good. As I've said all along, he deserves another season. If things don't improve, then he moves on. #
- @colin_clark82 as I said, can't name my sources. Sorry. #
- Will FSG back, sack or crack Kenny. No, wait, let me rephrase that…. #
- Here's my thoughts on the people talking about Kenny possibly leaving… http://t.co/U2caznVK #
- @tonycrammond which journos? #
- Little bit sad that Kenny has gone but I guess writing was on the wall after Comolli went. If they aren't afraid to sack DoF…. #
- Then they clearly aren't going to let sentiment get in the way when it comes to the manager. #
- Big summer now in terms of getting the right people in, and not referring to playing side of things either. #
- @ro_jito as much as I respect Rafa, I don't think him coming back would do anyone any good. Would just be Kenny Mk.2, if you get my meaning. #

- Given that Maureenho STILL goes on about Luis Garcia's goal in 2005, I can hardly see him burying the hatchet and joining us any time soon. #
- Plus, he's on about £10m a season at Real, so would suggest FSG probably don't have him at the top of their list of candidates. #
- I see David Beckham holding the Olympic flame. He is now, officially, a flamer. #
- Dave Whelan "When LFC sacked KD, I thought they would be looking at … a young, ambitious manager. You can't get one better than Roberto" #
- You can actually Dave, his name is Andre Villas Boas. #
- 62.5% career win percentage, 50% win percentage during a "poor" season at Chelsea, who went even further backwards after he left… #
- And experience of the Europa League and the Champions League. Lots of legal issues surrounding him though. #
- Regarding his departure from Chelsea I mean, not in a Harry Redknapp "Rosie47" sense I should add. #
- Perhaps the "further backwards" wasn't helpful in my tweet about AVB. It is late and I am quite tired. I think most of you knew what I meant #
- Interesting that Steve Clarke's resignation was rejected. Remember, Clarke & AVB worked together at Chelsea. #readingtoomuchintothings #
- Pretty sure it's more to do with Clarke being a top class coach, though arguments as to whether he showed us that last season. #
- @Skythanil issues with his departure from CFC, a non-compete clause being the main one apparently. Not as cheap as some think as a result. #
- As for Capello, he fits the bill of a young, ambitious manager, doesn't he? #
- Roberto Martinez wouldn't be ideal but he is good friends with Rafa, which settles me nerves about his possible appointment a bit. #
- That was supposed to be "my" not "me" in that last tweet. Wasn't meant to be quite as scouse as I intended

- Lot of talk about Andres Villas Boas being linked with the #LFC job, which I could live with. #
- Everything about #LFC the last couple of seasons has had a "mend and make do" approach to it, for various reasons most of you know about. #
- Chance to put a young, talented manager in the shape of AVB in charge and put the backroom staff along side him is interesting, at least. #
- As for the Suarez "I want to play in Spain" quotes, he said something similar not long after joining us. He'll still be here next season. #
- I don't AVB "failed miserably" at Chelsea. Look at the track record of managers who've "failed miserably" at Chelsea @miaoow #
- Andres Villas Boas has a 62.5% win percentage rating as a manager. http://t.co/NTtNtsTE #
- Even during his time at Chelsea, he had a 50% win percentage rating, yet it still got him the sack. That's harsh in anyone's book. #
- Doesn't Rafa have a house on the Wirral regardless? Unless you're being sarcastic, in which case I apologise. @Riaz1982 #
- Not entirely sure how a manager who won a European club trophy in their 1st full season in charge can be considered inexperienced but hey… #
- Can appreciate people tweeting with added emotion tonight, and probably for a few more days, but people need to look objectively at things. #
- And before people say this and that to me, I feel the same about Kenny leaving as I did when Roy or Rafa left…. #
- They had my support while they were at #LFC but they had their chance and they had to move on. Sentiment can't get in the way of things. #
- RTing this twice, that's how much I agree with it. RT @Riaz1982 AVB has 10x more experience that Martinez & Rodgers. #
- I'll give people the benefit of the doubt tonight but if there still people tweeting shite about #FSGOUT on Monday, you're getting blocked. #
- @sullybully1987 was trying to be serious and make a point, so it was Roy. Back to Woy shortly though
# - Couple of cracking tweets from @Skythanil that I just retweeted then. AVB is a tactician above all else, as good as Rafa is and was. #
- @Emperor_Kenzo @Jaaaitken Ben Smith's track record is hardly fantastic. Wasn't he at The Times when they ran the "China buys #LFC quot; story? #
- Yes, lets wish FSG hadn't bought us and we'd instead been bought by a Chinese Walter Mittey would've screwed us over more than H&G ever did. #
- Pep Guardiola would also be another one that would be "interesting". Highly unlikely but interesting. #
- I'd imagine if Big Roman got wind of us trying to get Guardiola, he'd simply start offering even sillier money than he's offering already. #
- So why even bother in the 1st place? So, pretty unlikely to happen basically. #
- @NickBaker73 the club. #

- Football, eh? Bloody hell! #thingssiralexfergusondoesntwanttohearrightnow #
- I wonder what pretentious twaddle Joey Barton is tweeting to justify his attack today? #
- This has been an odd #LFC season. Played well and lost games by the odd goal, played poorly and still lost games by the odd goal. #
- 54 players over the space of 2 seasons have either joined or left LFC. Frankly, an 8th place finish and trophy isnt bad going personally. #
- 8th place in the league isn't good enough, make no mistake, but I'd rather have someone like Kenny who "understood" the club in charge… #
- Than one of the supposed "wonderkids" of management or a managerial mercenary like Mourinho. #
- @JohnSinnott they'd probably give a foreign player a lengthy ban, something around the 8 game range. #

- You know what I want from #LFC next season, more than anything? For me not to feel exhausted at the end of it. #
- Last 2 or 3 seasons, for various reasons, have been very trying. Not sure what a "quiet" season is but can next season be one please? #
- @dant7733 Well said Sir. #
- Do find some of the questioning of FSG's intentions by some on here hilarious. #
- Save a club from bankruptcy, invest £35m of your own money, bring back manager fans all wanted, deliver first trophy for 6 years….. #
- And some people still question what FSG are doing. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that. #
- It's almost as if some fans want FSG to do as much as possible as quickly as possible so as to speed up forgetting H&G's era at Anfield…. #
- Which I can appreciate but doesn't really help FSG find their feet in a sport they're unfamiliar with. #
- Not putting this over well but think most people know what I'm trying to say. Tweeting when tired and angry is never a good idea, is it? #

- Hard to know what to say. Every time I think of something to say, I've already said it a hundred times over. #
- Poor league form is one thing but losing at home to likes of Wigan & Fulham is not acceptable in a cup winning season or not. #
- This season has been dead in the water for a good couple of months. And Kenny would be seriously screwed without cup wins. #
- Sorry, got ahead of myself in that last tweet! 2 cup final appearances would probably be fairer. #
- Ah, already getting the "FSG will move Kenny upstairs and bring back Rafa" tweets. Didn't take long. Think I'll bid farewell for now. #
- The FA have complained about The S*n's headline this morning, complaining that they feel it is a disgwace. #sorry #
- @Pete2482 as I said a few weeks back, Kenny was clearly given choice between 4th in league or a cup win at the start of the season. #
- @Pete2482 Clearly felt the latter was easier to do. #
- Just read about The BBC's alleged new Twitter guidelines. Stupid doesn't even begin to describe them. #
- Capital FM, the nations hit music station. The "S" is clearly silent in hit then. #
- Anyway, there is a football match on now. Lets see how long it takes me to lose interest in this then? #
- Really like Aaron Lennon. One of many I'd wish we'd signed when we had the chance. #
- Oh, and he's exactly the type of player we need to sign urgently in the Summer. Have I ever mentioned that we need to sign a right winger? #
- Tim Reem apparently has a sister named Dee. #mid90spopbasedfootballjokes #
- This game has not been a classic, it's fair to say. #thfc #bwfc #
- That was a beauty from Modric, no question. Downside is we now have to hear a rendition of "When the Spurs…" #
- At 65 minutes, I'm out. Think I need a break from Twitter and football. Both neither as enjoyable as they used to be. #
- Call me a pessimist but not expecting anything today, so not getting nervous ahead of the game. Hey, it worked for the League Cup final… #
- Only just mind. 2-1 to #LFC with #CFC to score first is my top betting tip. Though if you're taking tips from me then you must be desperate. #
- When it comes to LFC this season, definitely and sadly. RT @Skythanil @TSmilinAssassin Set your sights low and you'll never be disappointed. #
- Seem to remember the first 20 mins of the Norwich game being pretty poor and that turned out alright. Plenty of time left. #facupfinal #
- 1017th time I've mentioned it this season but our lack of wingers, or rather effective wingers, has been our weak point this season. #
- Playing people in pre season you're trying to sell hasn't really worked out, has it? Another major failing of this season. #
- Fitness levels haven't really been there all season. Too many times players have looked exhausted and lethargic, especially recently. #
- Re. Fitness levels. And I agree. RT @JordoWesthead @TSmilinAssassin Especially since we have had no Europe. #
- Hard to watch but it has been for a few months now. Still think Kenny deserves another season though. #
- Enrique looks shattered but he's looked like that since the 1st minute. Makes you wonder what use Dr. Brukner is? #
- For those wondering why KD deserves another season; some of our play in the calendar year 2011 was excellent. 2012 less so… #
- But injuries, new players and the Suarez case haven't helped us at all. Was always going to be a season of transistion. #
- Not making excuses and these are just my opinions. And believe me, some of the results we've had this season have been hard to take. #
- That's better. Lovely footwork from Big Andy too. As I said, not over yet. #
- Slightly random observation this but there really has been a lot of gay innuendo in this ITV commentary today. #
- How many chances has Big Andy had so far? At least half a dozen, isn't it? Encouraging. #
- Good mates with Tom Daley as well, I understand. RT @Arlarse Meireles is a quilt. #
